Chapter 3- Positions
Now that you have the equipment and you know the rules and how to play you need to chose what position is best for you. A position is a place on the field where a player scores or defends or does both. The player gets the position from the coach. One position that you might like is center front. There are two players in center front. Center front is the position that starts the kickoff and usually scores goals and rarely defends goals. If you are good at scoring goals you will be perfect for center front. Center front helps your team score goals.
Another position you might like is center middle. Center middle is the position that is in the middle of the field and that usually scores goals and defends goals. If you are good at defending and you are good at shooting then this position is right for you. Another position you might like is center left. Center left is the position that is on the left side of the field and does the same things as center middle, it scores and defends goals. If you like to be on the left side of the field and you are good at defending and scoring then center middle is the right position for you. Another position you might like is center right. Center right is on the right side of the field and does the same thing as center middle. It scores and defends goals on the right side of the field. If you want to be on the right side of the field and you are good at scoring and defending center right is the best position for you. Center middle, center left, and center right helps the team score and defend goals.
Another position you might like is defense middle. Defense middle is the position that is in the middle of the back of the field. Defense middle is the position the usually defends goals and rarely scores goals. If you want to be in the middle of the back of the field and you are very good at defending the defense middle is the right position for you. Another position you might like is defense left. Defense left is in the back of the field and on the left side. Defense left always defends goals and rarely score goals. If you want to be in the back of the field and you want to be on the left side and you are good at defending the goal then defense left is right for you. Another position you might like is defense right. Defense right is in the back of the field and is on the right side. Defense right is the position that defends goals on the right side and rarely defends goals. If you want to be in the back of the field and you want to be on the right and you are good at defending the defense right is the best position for you.
The final position is goalie. The goalie is in the very back of the field and near the goal. The goalie always blocks the ball so it doesn’t go in the goal. It sometimes scores goals by punting the ball a long way. If someone hits the goalie they get a red card, if they hit the goalie but not hard then it is a yellow card. If you are good at blocking the ball from going in the goal and you want to be in the back of the field then goalie is the right position for you.
