Sadako and The Thousand Paper Cranes Theme

  

I finished reading Sadako and The Thousand Paper Cranes yesterday.  As my group and I read, we believed that the theme is hope.  Many things happened that showed that Sadako is a hopeful person.

Sadako was always very hopeful.  This is surprising because Sadako has Leukemia.  Even though Sadako had Leukemia, she still entertained people when they are at the hospital.  Sadako played games and sing songs.  

Another time she was hopeful is when Sadako told Kenji about the paper cranes. This showed she was hopeful because she believed that if Kenji made cranes, they would both live. Kenji was weaker than Sadako. Sadako had just gotten the atom bomb disease but Kenji had had it for a while. The next day, Kenji died. It shows Sadako believed that he could survive the disease if he had the cranes.

Also, Sadako was hopeful that she would recover from Leukemia. Some people recovered from the disease so Sadako thought that she will be one to not die from the disease. But, even though she had hope she died.

I realize that the theme of Sadako and the Thousand Paper Cranes is hope. I realize this because Sadako is a hopeful person, she brought hope to Kenji,  she thought she would recover from Leukemia.  This shows that Sadako and The Thousand Paper Cranes theme is hope.

My Family is Like A  Farmyard

My family is like a farmyard. We are always working together and getting things done.

I think my Dad is like a farmer, he keeps us safe and helps as much as he can.

I think my mom is like a barn house. In rain and doubt she would keep us all nice and calm.

I think sean is like a grumpy cow, he is always mean and he is always wearing a pout face.

I think Jenna is a very calm horse. She is always calm and never too crazy.

I think Jax is like a baby goat. I think this because he is always so calm and sweet.

My family is like a McDonald's happy meal, not perfect, so much to it, and altogether, it works.

Teddy is the toy that every one want’s to play with and makes us happy!

Jake is like the cheeseburger that you want to eat but you know you shouldn't eat.

I am like the soda that refreshes you when you're down and I will cheer you up.

My family is like a circus; they are so entertaining  and funny.

My Mom is like an entertainer. She is always making people laugh.

My Dad is like a person that is always in line for a hot dog. He is always thinking about his stomach and next meal.

Ava is a ride controller. She is always on her electronics.

My family is like a bowl of spaghetti and meatballs. We always have different ideas and different opinions but together, we are a great mix.

Coco is like a meatball, she sits and waits for us to do something. She also loves to roll around

like a meatball.

I am like parmesan cheese on the spaghetti and sauce. I am a reminder to my mom and my sister when they forget something.

My sister is like the tomato sauce on the spaghetti and meatballs, she is messy and she is EVERYWHERE.

My Family Poem

My family is like a baseball team, I think this because we work together. Sometimes, no one wins, but, sometimes everyone wins.

My brother is like a first baseman, Sometimes he helps out the team and gets people out. However, sometimes he doesn’t help and the runner gets on base.

My Dad is like a batter, he mostly hits it out of the park and makes everyone happy. But, when he is angry, it is like he hit a grounder right to first base.

My Mom is like the coach, she is happy when the players win the World Series. But, unhappy when they misbehave. And, she gets mad sometimes.

I am like a fan, I cheer my team on and support them. But, it is a little hard to support them when they get mad at me for doing something wrong.

My family is like a Rainbow,

They all have different personalities and, like colors,

they are all different.

My brother Teddy is pink,

He is very sassy, annoying, and always wants the attention.

Then he can be a sweet pink since he is always cute and cuddly,

My dad is  like the color red,

My  younger sister Emilie is like the color orange.

She can sometimes be red like my dad;

grumpy and crazy.But, sometimes she can be yellow and hyper and has good humor like my dog, Birdie.

My family is like the ocean, every one of us different.

 

My sister Jemma is a seagull, always darting around and eager to get someplace new. She also gets into people's business and does whatever she wants.

     

My brother Jalen is an eel. He goes with the flow and obeys rules. He is also clever, quiet and, sneaky.

My dad is like an Octopus. He is flexible and he has multiple arms that never fail to protect us.  

My mom is the water. She rocks us to sleep and keeps us in balance. She keeps everyone alive and healthy.

      I am a minnow. I am always exploring and going  places. I also like to try new and interesting things all the time.

My family is like a  farm in the summer; peaceful, but full of hard work.

My Mom is is like the fence for the animals. She protects us from things that try to harm us.

My Dad is like the farmer. He cares about his animals.

My Family Is Like Beach

My family is like a beach, tranquil, safe, but also crazy all at the same time.

My Mom is like the visitor at the beach. She is tranquil and never her loses temper, and is really cool most of times.

My Dad, Paul, is like a lifeguard. He is always hard working, caring and considerate to everyone and helps people in need. Also he is there when we need him.

My Brother Paul is a seagull. He ruins my day a lot and takes my things without permission.

My puppy Gregory is the sleeping person on the beach that sleeps a lot, does nothing, and is really lazy and hates doing things.

My family is like a beach; tranquil, safe, but also crazy all  at the same time.

My family is like a pack of wolves. We stick together and care for each other.

My Dad is the leader of the pack. He tells us what to do. He keeps everything in order and runs the family.

My mom is the mother wolf, helpful and patient. She protects us and teaches us what we need to know about life.

I am neutral,  I teach my sister and keep her safe. I  help my parents and stay out of things.

My sister is like the young wolf, full of energy and curiosity. She is playful and fun and has has much to learn about life.
