Patriots
INTRO
Tories were people who were loyal to the king and the queen tories were also called loyalists because they were loyal to the king and the queen. Minutemen were on the patriots side they were men that were supposed to be ready to fight against the Redcoats in a minute. Red coats were people who fought against the patriots. Red coats were often called lobster backs by the patriots as an insult. I will talk about what their nicknames were , what they fought for and what they did, and who joined the patriots.
What they were called/ their nicknames
Patriots were called rebels, Liberty boys, sons or daughters of liberty, colonists, and whigs.It was important to call them that because if you did not call them that then they would get mixed up and it was easier to call them that because the names have exactly what their names or what they stand for.
Who joined the Patriots
The patriots recruited slaves, Peter Salem, Salem Poor, Barzillai Lew,, Blaney Grusha, Titus Coburn, Alexander Ames, Cato Howe, and Seymour Burr, and Crispus Attucks.
