All while I was walking…
Finally we are here, three hours later. Me, my two brothers Austin and Coco, and my Mom. Also my best friend Rachel ,her mom, Lillian and Mike her brother.
The seven of us rent out a beach house in rhode island every year because it is walking distance to everything and it is so close to one of the biggest beaches in
rhode island. It was five minutes later and finally my mom said “ we are gonna go to the beach. We are also going to pack our own lunch so, throw on your bathing suits on.”
Tic, tock, tic, tock, tic, tock, tic, tock it felt like years. “Our moms are not ready yet, Rachel” I did not say with a shock.
“ I know, right when you are waiting for something and you have nothing else to do even if it is just like 5 minutes it feels like weeks and 10 minutes feels like a month and 15 minutes feels like a year.” Rachel totally agreed with me.
We got bored because it took long. We played a card game called Go Fish, it was fun when you play with 5 people, It gets really interesting.
Finally, they were ready then I felt a drop on my shoulder but I thought nothing of it because the sky was so clear. No way it could be raining.
“ What was that?” Rachel said with a little shock in her voice. Then it started to por. We all ran as fast as we could but ours moms some how brought a umbrella for the sun but they used it for the rain and all the kids ran to the house as fast as we could before we got drenched. We are sure not gonna go to the beach today. Perfect.
But it was not as bad as I thought because we ended up playing rainy day games all day. We played on our ipads while our moms were in the sun room talking and getting all of the sand out of our bathing suits.
The next day we got chanded ,again, into bathing suits. We started to walk to the beach. A nice cool jump in the water sure wouldn't hurt this time of day. It was a nice day it has to be about 80 degrees.
I was carrying some sand tools like a bucket, a shovel, and a sand hoe. Everyone had to carry their own towels and boogie board. Our moms did not use a boogie board so just the kids brought their boogie board. The beach was gonna be nice.
When we arrived at the beach we ran all the way down. We ran down to get a plot of sand so our moms could sun tan. We would build sandcastles and “accidentally” knock each others down. “ Come on Rachel let's go grab some water from the ocean, because I really like the boys and iours is kind of lam.” I whispered embarrassingly.
“Ya, ok” she mumbled.
“Wow in two and a half hours ,about, we made a pretty cool sand castle.” Austin exclaimed.
“Alright kids time to go home.” Lillian shouted and we all pretended that we all did not hear her.
“We made the best sandcastle ever” I said ,quickly but proudly, to my best friend Rachel.
“We really did well, us and the boys” she said.
“True” I said. We finally agreed on something with the boys! But, somehow I knew that this could only happen once, and I am glad that it happened now so I could realize how close me and my best friend are.
