The Really Big Iguana
Me and Andrew dashed down to the beach I felt the soft sand rubbing against my toes I enjoyed the salty smell of the waves crashing on the beach. We were so excited. I hope we find a iguana today I told Andrew as we race down to the beach. “Yea we are here” I yelled. In the distance I could hear the waves crashing on the beach. I could not stand looking at the water as I jumped in the water I yealld whoho. As I got in I could taste the salt water in my mouth I was not happy about that.
As I was in the water I started to hear a loud noise It was as loud as thunder. So I jumped out of the water trying to be as quick as I can. While I was trying my hardest to get to Andrew I was hoping the eguna would not hear me.
When I got to Andrew I whispered to Andrew “I think I hear iguana..” Me and Andrew tried to be as quick but quiet hoping to find one. the noise came from coco beach the restaurant (it is named after the beach) when we chased it Andrew realized that there was a hole in the patio. We had no Idea there was a hole in the patio. I tried to see if there was another hole. I shouted to Andrew “ I see another hole you guard that side and I will guard this side.” “good idea” Andrew shouted to me.
“Hailey Andrew time for lunch” shouted my dad “ok” me and Andrew said in a frustrated voice. I was really mad “we are going to lose the iguana.” I told Andrew “but I am hungry.” “ I will look for the eguna when I eat lunch”.
When we had lunch I was keeping an eye out for the iguana like I promised Andrew. At first I thought I heard it and then I saw it creping away. I jumped out of my seat and started to chase it. Andrew knew what I saw by what I told him before. I will look for the iguana. he started to chase it too.
We followed it very curious I was done with lunch Andrew was done too. When we chased the iguana into a very stinky place. I did not want to go in I was disgusted by the spiders on the ground there was a big cave. I asked Andrew “ do I have to go in?” Andrew said “yes.” when I got in we did not see the iguanas any more we were so disappointed. Sundly I came up the best ida ida in the history of the inter world! I was going to stand on a tree to see better.
I hopped on the branch crunch crunch it made. It was heavy so it could hold me up. The tree was chipped, the coconuts were still on the tree. “I hope a coconut does not fall on my head” I told Andrew.
“Andrew it is no use I can't see it “ok you look over there and I will look over here.” there was a cave so Andrew looked in there. “DON’T GO IN!!!” I screamed to Andrew. there was also a fence that said do not enter.
Suddenly I looked up at a tree I could not believe what I saw I could not help myself I just had to I had to scream. “AAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH!!!” My mouth would not close. Andrew asked “why are you screaming”? I heard him but I did not answer. I tried to close my mouth but I just couldn't. I did not know why my mouth would not close. I pointed up to Andrew and then he started to scream too but not as loud as me. Andrew dashed back to his spot to look for iguana’s. I did not go anywhere. I did not know what to do. I was so scared that iguana was about to jump on my head.
Me and Andrew started to dash out of the stinky place I was so scared I was afraid my heart would jump out of my chest I told Andrew,“I am never going to go in there again” me and Andrew both said at the same time. I wanted to go back to the hotel. But one day me and Andrew saw another iguana so we started to chase it but as we chased it we started to figure out where it was going to the stinky place.
“I asked Andrew should we go in?” It did not take Andrew a long time to answer. Right away he said “yes.” so I knew I had to go in. I really did not want to but Andrew really wanted me to do it so i had to do it. I tip toed in. I heard it I heard the iguana I looked up i could not blive my eyes the iguana was not there I realized it was just the sound of me stepping on the leaves I was relieved. andrew asked “why are you so scared” I did not want to answer that question. I was still scared at first but cepit an eye out for the iguana but Andrew said that “you will be fine but I reminded him what happened last time he said”the same thing “you will be fine” I finally had to say “ok” so we chased and played in there for half an hour and nothing happend so we played in there after all.
