He was a Native American who lived around the Plymouth settlement. He helped many of the English settlers. Later in his life he was… CAPTURED BY AN ENGLISHMAN! Researchers think this is ironic because he was helping the English settlers, and he was captured by an Englishman. He was brought to Spain and sold in a slave auction. Thankfully, some priests saved him and let him go. Squanto’s whereabouts from 1615-1617 were unknown, but by 1617 he had managed to get to England. Historians do not think anyone will ever know how Squanto got to England, because so many researchers have so many theories.
Death
Squanto got sick and died when he was only 35 years old, at the end of September, 1622. He died from a sickness called Indian Fever. Historians believe think he got sick from the Indians. Researchers think that because his body was not acclimated, or used to, the climate in Plymouth he got sick. Experts do not think he was acclimated because he had been in England for the past years.
Now you know that Squanto has helped many people and has had many major events in his lifetime. You are back in 2017. You are having trouble downloading an app. You ask your neighbor. He says to go to one of the the Apple Store-uxets, for help. There you find Customer service-uanto. He says you need to free up space on your phone, so you delete “Cut The String”, because you do not play it anymore.
