The Wave
I raced down to the beach l could hear the waves crashing against shore. There was a faint scent of sea air. It was such a beautiful day. ‘’ Dad can I go swimming now?’’I asked, Sure he replied setting up his beach chair.
As I looked into the crystal blue water in the distance I spied the biggest wave of them all. I had butterflies in my stomach a part of me wanted to stay on the beach and relax. I stared at it my eyes locked on the sight of it The wave was as big as an elephant. I ran out as fast as I could my boogie board dragging behind me. Ia jumped on my boogie board and paddled til I had clear vision of the huge scary elephant size wave. My jaw dropped and my mouth would not close.
I saw the wave coming closer and closer my heart started to race.A trickle of fear ran down my back. I couldn't wouldn't move. I stared up at the the huge scary wave. I felt in inch tall!
I could barely breath I wanted to turn back to the beach but I new it was too late. So I closed my eyes at tight as they would go. I held my breath. Whoosh I was rolled into a summer salt
I washed up on the hot sandy beach. I was breathing as hard as I could I opened the my eyes feeling relieved I could take a breath.
My legs felt like they were broken my arms felt like they were sprayed I didn’t want to get up.I knew I would never forget this day the time, I got trampled by the Wave and I had a smirk on my face and I did not know why.
The End
