Elvis Presley was born in Tupelo Mississippi.   Elvis Presley was/is so popular from his rock and roll, he was also in so, so many movies. Elvis was great at music. Elvis was a twin to Jesse Garon Presley, unfortunately Jesse did not survive, Elvis was called the twin-less brother. Elvis got haunted by it all of his life. Elvis was an actor and singer, he played rock and roll and was in at least 29 movies.Elvis married a woman named Priscilla Presley, he got married on May 1 1967. Right now, Priscilla is 71 years old (from 2017).Elvis had a daughter on February 1 1968. Lisa (Elvis’s daughter) was only 9 when Elvis died. Elvis died on August 22 1977. He was 42 when he died. He died in Memphis Tennessee, he had a heart attack. People were devastated when he died.

       A lot of people come to the Gulf Islands National Seashore in Mississippi for lots of visits and vacation. The Gulf Islands National Seashore is loaded with miles and miles of beaches. Did you know there is over 80% of marine life at the seashore?! The national seashore was established on January 8, 1971. It was placed between the barrier of Mississippi and Florida. There is so many beautiful sightings, almost everywhere. It is in the southern of Mississippi. The seashore was built from 1794 to the 1940s.

     The Mississippi flag was adopted by the Mississippi state. The Mississippi flag has three stripes, red, white and blue, the order that it goes is blue, white, then red. On the left hand, top corner there is a little square with a blue x in the square that is filled in with stars, the background of it is red. It is very similar to the U.S. flag. It was adopted in April, 1894. The flag is also known as the mongolian flag. The flag represents the number of Confederate states. There are multiple states with the Confederate flag in it, including Mississippi. The Mississippi flag was not an official flag official until April in 1894! It was replacing the flag that was adopted in 1861.

Without these special people, places, and things Mississippi would not have been the same at all. Elvis Presley was a rock and roll sensation, The Gulf Islands National Seashore is a great place to visit, and the Mississippi flag represents the number of Confederate states.
