Rudolph the Red Nose Puppy

It was a snowy, rainy Sunday morning, and it was cold, of course. As my dad woke me for the 28th time, I finally decided to get up. Even though I was getting my puppy, I was still tired.

Several days before on Saturday, January 5, 2014, I was on my way home from my aunt’s in New Jersey. We had had a family get together. Anyway, my mom got a call saying Rudy, the dog we were getting, was sick with a cold. Luckily nothing serious, bUt he would have to stay another week so when I get him he’d be healthy and happy. So I understood why but I was a little bummed at the same time.

AS I brushed my teeth and picked out an outfit to wear ( flannel shirt, jeans, hiker boots). It was hard to choose because I was all giddy. Once I picked out my clothes I was faster than Usain Bolt putting on my clothes and leaping down the stairs and into the car I went.Slamming the car door stronger than acid when it hits your face. But know looking back probably should've closed the door instead of slamming it but oh well. Finally, after I stop wheezing I immediately realized that I can't drive a car.So I ran back inside to get my parents. Then, ran back into the car.

As my dad back’t out of the garage asking with glee

“Are you excited sweety”.

“Of course I am why wouldn't I be i’m getting my first dog this is one of the greatest days ever”!

I informed loudly. But my mom thought I informed a little too loud.

As I put on my seat belt into its bright rose red clip and as we drove onto the highway and somehow did not have traffic. I thought about how I will be in charge of a being for a long time.

As my dad slowly drove up the hill of Rudy soon to be old home. As I clipped off my seat belt and opened the car door and started running up to the front door that I was waiting to see for a extra week. When I rang the door bell and as I waited for someone to come. I thought that I need to be the best that I can to care for Rudy that I need to make sure I’m responsible so he can be cared for properly.

“Oh please come in.”

Using a hand gesture the nice lady with a fake smile told my mom, dad, and me to come in. Rudy came too, jumping on me, my mom, and dad.

As the woman with the really obvious fake smile took us into the kitchen, she told us about how to care for Rudy. She taught us how to wash Rudy what he eats and even gave us one of his toys that he shared with his siblings so he will smell them on the toy that happily did not squeak so we could relax a little too.

As the nice lady gave me a royal blue leash. My official dog Rudolph Valentino Manii came up to me and started rubbing against me and the leash giving me a sign that I should put the leash on.But I didn't because we needed to make sure he went on his peepee pad so he wouldnt have any accidents in the car because that would not be fun.
As my family and I walked the hallway. To get Rudy and leave I saw a boy who was about seven or eight playing video games.
But when it was time for us to get Rudy and take him home a boy that was on there computer playing video games that did not want to give up Rudy. The boy was saying,

“Ah but I don’t want to give Rudy away!”
Once he said that it felt like someone threw a bowling ball into my stomach because like I got the wind knocked out of me when I heard him say that.
But luckily after 10 minutes of me scared and wanting to shout no he’s my dog.He finally gave in and gave me my dog.

As I got Rudys leash on swiftly because I was scared that the boy get him. But as I opened the door into the cold weather I could the excitement in the air as we walked through the snowy icy stone walkway to our car with Rudy whimpering as I opened the door. I felt bad that I was taking Rudy away from his first home just like if a parent told there kid that they need to move well I think so because I’m not a parent. As my dad started the car Rudy got a little nervous because he started whimpering as my dad pulled out of the drive way.
