Chapter 2: The History
The things you will learn in this chapter is the history of Lego and some fun facts.
The Lego Company was started in 1932. The original owner of Lego used to make wooden toys. In 1958, the first brick came out. By the 1960’s, Lego Duplo was launched. In 1978, Lego guys with movable arms and legs came out. Lego let McDonald's advertise them in 1984. In the 1990’s Lego was one of the world’s largest manufacturers and still is. In 2001 Lego released Harry Potter sets. These would be great for people that love Harry Potter. In 2010, Lego Ninjago came out with their spinner’s so you can duel with your friends. As you can see, Lego is always coming out with new ideas.
Fun Fact: Did you know that one time a boat was carrying lots of boxes of Legos? Then a wave crashed onto the boat and made all the boxes fall off, so the Lego pieces were lost in the water. If you are lucky you can still find some pieces on the beach.
