Ava’s Sadie’s Stuffed Animal
I am Sadie the puppy
I wonder why my big sister Ava takes the stuffed animals I am chewing on away from me
I hear her tell me no, but it is too much fun
I see her reach down to take it from me
I want to bark at her, but I will get in trouble
I am trapped
I pretend it is stuck to my tooth
I feel that she knows that it is not stuck in my tooth, so she is about to take it
I touch her hand with my mouth
I understand that I will not get in trouble if I let go
I say, “Just let go.”
I dream that I didn’t let go
