Brave Irene
In the book Brave Irene, a girl named Irene goes into the woods to give the duchess a dress that her mom made during a snowstorm. My claim is that Irene is really brave.
One example that shows Irene is brave, is because she pressed against the wind that is trying to bring her home so she can't give the duchess the dress. This shows that Irene is brave, because it is really hard to walk pressed against the very intense wind.
My second piece of evidence showing that Irene is brave, is how she turned around and pressed against the the wind, which was telling her to go home. Irene snapped right back and said, “I will do no such thing like that.” I think Irene shows bravery because she showed both physical and mental strength.
My third piece of evidence that Irene is brave is because the wind was lifting her into the air and Irene had to hop,skip, and go helter skeltering over the knobby ground. This supports my claim because it says this in the text but we used our own words.
I think that all of this supports my claim because she was going thru the woods in a snow storm. This is why I think Irene is brave.
