I Am a Basketball
I wonder why people always throw me in the air
I hear myself bouncing against the ground.
I hear people yelling and a basketball hoop
I don’t want to be a basketball. It’s painful.
I am angry because people do not stop bouncing me.
I pretend to be a person.
I feel the hard ground and all the pain.
I touch the slippery squeaky floor.
I understand why people like to play with me.
I say, ‘’Why are you doing this to me?’’
I dream to be free of this pain.
