ANKI OVERDRIVE
I was driving in the car to my cousin Luke’s house. I had a huge grin on my face because we were almost there. I was wondering what we were going to play when we got there. We could have a nerf war,I thought in my head. Well,I really do not care, I am just glad that we are going. The car ride went by quickly,we were finally at their house. I opened the car door and ran to their front steps. I was so happy to be at my cousin's house because we do not see them a lot...at least what I thought.
I the saw my aunt Megan emerge from the doorway. “Hello.” She said. “Hi Aunt Megan,”I replied. I then said hi to my grandpa my grandma and my other aunts and uncles. I then walked over to their basement door. I opened it and I shut it firmly behind me. I then stormed into the basement to see my cousin Luke. I said hi to my other cousins Marcus and George. The last stop was to my cousin Luke. “Hi Luke.” I said. “Hi James.’’ Luke said. “What do you want to play?’’Luke asked. I don’t know, what do you want to play?’’ I asked Luke. “I got this new game called Anki Overdrive, if you are interested to try.’’ Luke said. “Sure.” I replied.
Me and Luke put together the Anki Overdrive track together. We were then ready to start. We went over to get are cars. “I will be NUKE,’’ Luke said. Nuke is a good car for speed. “I will be BIG BANG.’’I said. We put are cars on the track. They did a pace lap so they know which way to go because there are places where you can go more than one way and if they did not know where to go one car might be going the wrong way. We then heard the Ipads voice say “three...two...one...GO!”
I saw the cars instantly pick up speed. The cars zoomed around speeds at about 6 mph. “These are fast!’’ I said. “I know, right!’’ Luke replied. They made perfect quick sharp turns, They were also incredibly fast. They were like blurs on the slick black track. I realized I was slowing down every so often. It was really strange,Luke would never slow down,his car would just keep going. Maybe the battery is low on the car. I know that the car needs to be charged before the car can race, I thought in my head. I thought in my head. ”Why are you not shooting me,’’Luke asked. “You can shoot?” I asked curiously.“Yes, that is why you have the gun on your iPad.’’ “Ohhhhh.” I said. I was wondering why I was slowing down every so often. I saw that when I would fire, it would work great. When Luke came around and made an attempt to pass me, I would fire so that he would slow down, but then he would escape. When Luke came around and lapped me on the corner, I saw that he would go on the farthest lane to the outside. To me that seemed pretty dangerous, if you would loose control I think that you would probably fall off the track. I came up with a plan. It did not take a long time for Luke to come around and lap me. Plan A is activated.
Luke was right behind me ready to strike. I knew that I was going to take a risk here. Luke then instantly picked up speed and passed me. Luke let out a sigh of relief. But I had him right where I wanted him to be. I fired my gun slowing him down. A smile appeared on my face. Luke had a concerned look on his face. He moved up a little bit I turned super sharp to knock him off the track and...I missed. I flew off the track hit a wall and then my car was turned over on its back, its wheels spinning, like a turtle on its back. The car hit the wall with such great force it looked like it ran into a brick wall and quickly bounced back. The smirk on my face faded away. Now I was saying “NOOOO!” Luke’s car was still racing around the track, although Luke was not even paying attention to his car. Instead he was laughing hysterically. I started to snicker and then the next thing that I knew was that I was lying on the ground laughing too. “Oh how I wish that I had that on video,’’Luke said. I could just imagine us lying on the ground replaying that over and over and over again. Me and Luke just could not stop laughing about that hilarious moment.
We then started to race again. I knew that there I was going to want to attempt to crash into Luke but after what I had just did I did not feel to confident in myself. I then saw a soda can near the track. I kind of felt uncomfortable with the soda can there but I did not say anything. Lukes car then passed me again. I was getting pretty eager to crash into Luke’s car. Luke’s shiny green car casually passed me. I decided that it was time. Lukes car came up quickly. I saw that Luke was doing the same tactic that he did with me when I flew off the track. He then passed me. “It is not over yet.” I said. I then fired luke was now in the perfect position. I turned in and hit him in the rear end. He flew off the track made a full circle and then crashed into a toy monster truck. It stirred to life drivin on the floor which then resulted into the car crashing into the wall, But this time it was completely stopped. “YES!”I said in a very happy voice. “NO!” Luke said in a very deep voice.
Just when Luke picked up his car to put it back on the track Luke knocked the can of soda onto the track. That resulted into the car’s flying off the track. We then started to laugh. “I think that is enough for today,”Luke said. We then went upstairs to say happy birthday to my cousin Delia. We ate cake and then we left. On the car ride back I then realized I was so happy to be with my family members. I have a lot of great memories with them. I then started to fall into a deep sleep.
