DETERMINED
One similarity between Irene from Brave Irene and Elisabeth from The Paper Bag Princess is that they both go on quests and are determined to reach their goals.
There are a couple of ways that Irene is determined. One way I know Irene is determined is when she sprained her ankle and kept moving on. This shows that Irene is determined to do it when she should have went to the closest house to get treated. Also when she lost the dress she kept pushing so that the duchess would know that she lost the dress. This shows she is determined because she could like whoops I lost the dress guess I’ll go home now but she didn’t.
There are a couple of reasons that show Elizabeth is determined. One way is when the Dragon burnt her castle and carried away Ronald she went to find something to wear and find Ronald even when she only found a paper bag. Another time in the book is when he tricked the Dragon to fly around the world twice and make him burn forests [and I bet she was scared just on how fast he could fly and how much fire he had and then she yelled in his ear].
But after all thay are different in some ways for instance Elizabeth went to get something and Irene went to give something. But they're both very determined and they both learned to never give up!
