My Family Poem

When you come into my house it’s like a piece of cake.

My dad is like the outside part that gets a tougher than the rest, holding us together as a family, like a cake would with the other stuff on top and inside of it. He always keeps our family together in a big way.

My mother is like the center. Deep inside our hearts, keeping us happy and loved. My mother always worries about us and keeps us loved.

My sister, Hailey, is like the frosting on top. The finishing touch,  always keeping us in a good mood. She keeps the house excited, instead of quiet and miserable.

My dog is like the mixture, always needing the attention.
Lamar, my dog, always is the center of attention and a big part of the family.

I’m like the bottom layer of the cake. Always serious, but is still needed and makes his family happy. I’m serious, but I always like to help, without being in the center of everything.

My family is like a piece of cake. Always something sweet, good, and hard to resist.
