Introduction
A nation's greatness is measured by how it treats its weakest members, Mahatma Gandhi would say. People use to say as in there great success of Plymouth. Plymouth has lots of amazing materials that made it an amazing place, for example if the mayflower was not built then it would not be able to bring the pilgrims to a new world with religious freedom. Plymouth was a very beautiful place with lots of helpful people living there.
Settling In
In 1620 the great religious colony was finally preparing for an amazing colony to be settled, after the voyage of getting there. The passengers of the Mayflower, agreed to the shape of the colony. On the voyage from Europe, on the Mayflower to prevent any splits between the two parties. The pilgrims had to work loyal together for the new colony to be successful. The settlement was very easy to build because successful, loyal, brave, and understanding people were on the journey to building a new world.
Deciding To Move
In 1620 a new colony was founded. This colony was built from the religious people, from New England. They decided to build this settlement because of the King of England. King James would not allow the people of New England to go to religious churches. The people living in England did not agree with King James so they decided to govern a new colony.
Geography
The geography of Plymouth is amazing. It has so much different climates, and different settings. It also has lots of body of waters, it is very big it borders Massachusetts, and also the Cape Cod Bay. Plymouth was able to get good water and soil, so the plants were able to grow, good healthy foods. Plymouth is a very beautiful place.
Squanto
One word to describe Squanto is helpful. This word was used because Squanto helped all the pilgrims, hunt natural resources like deer, fish, and turkey. Squanto also taught them how to plant foods. When Squanto came back to Patuxet the settlers were all sick, and were not able to work. To this day no one really knows what Squanto looks like, but they do know that he was a very helpful and brave guy.
The First Thanksgiving
The first Thanksgiving is not like today's Thanksgiving. For example the firs Thanksgiving was for three days, and now it is only one day. The first Thanksgiving was in October, and today's Thanksgiving is in November. The pilgrims were very thankful that the colony they settled in was very successful, healthy, and had no war.
Conclusion
Plymouth was a great, wonderful, successful, and healthy place with lots of stuff to do. You might think that it is no longer existing but we get to have that great joy to this day with Massachusetts. You might think that. Do you know who the pilgrims are?
